2021 - 2022 Officer's Mayhe

Hi! My name is Tristan and I currently am (as of the time writing this) the President aka Gaysident of our Coral Academy’s LGBTQ+ Club. With help from Mrs Luthmann, I was a main member in migrating the club to its new teacher and set up. This includes but is not limited to:
- creating and managing the club discord
- choosing Mrs Luthmann as the new teacher for club(as the old one moved)
- creating posters for club
- donating hours of time to support club whether that be at the booths or showing up in Mrs Luthmann's room and helping out with whatever was needed most of the week.
- brainstorming ideas for events.
- and so much more.
For me this is more than just a club. Its a home for people and I want to make sure that everyone is safe within that home. Originally the club founder wanted to do just that. Fortunately for me, they just so happen to be a close friend. They wanted more than anything to have a safe space, free of bullying, where people could be themselves and not get judged for that.
With help from our new members and club leaders, I believe we were able to make a space for that exact purpose. Now while we call ourselves the LGBTQ+ club, Allies are just as welcome.
Remember: No matter who you are, who you like, or what pronouns you prefer; you are just as valid as the rest of us.
We are here and we will stay Queer!

Mars is (Very "Diplomatically") elected Vice President of the LGBTQ+ club. As vice president Mars does a collection of different things, ranging from planning to helping with other duties and research. They're always lending an ear where ever needed, and has a pack of tea in their bag for the 'Spill the Tea' sessions. When Mars isn't sobbing at movies they've never seen before and drawing, their class of 2023 (Now a Senior!) who collects soft plushies and gets overly excited about Splatoons and Pokémon.Quote: "I don't jiggle jiggle- I fold" (Proceeds to fold into an origami crane) -Mars 2022

Traci (she/they)
Is the first elected Public Relations Officer of the LGBTQ+ club. They often spends their time playing games or drawing. When they aren't being a couch potato, she is often seen doing club activities and eating food. She has many responsibilities such as; making sure the club's discord is in order, ensuring that the bots work as they should, making edits to the Carrd, taking photos of everyone for the club's instagram account, and volunteering to contribute to the club!

Mrs. Luthmann (she/her) is the chosen one: the advisor of LGBTQ+ club. As the advisor, she provides her classroom, Netflix/Spotify account, and electric kettle in order to create a space for members to be themselves, whether it's during club time or during lunch. She also provides a logistical voice when planning events, a sympathetic ear when concerns arise, and a bursting heart to love all these gremlins. When she is not advising, Mrs. Luthmann is an English teacher and the 11th grade chair.
